MY STORY
My name is Rachael Mylinh Weaver, or as you may come to know as: RAMYWE. I am in pursuit of design in interiors, architecture, lighting, and furniture.
I was born on January 15, 1995 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Shortly after, I was adopted as a baby. I grew up in Chattanooga, TN where I gained initial interest in design through working with my aunt flipping local homes. I was exposed to/aided with demolitions, foundation construction, wall structures, painting, and landscaping. I began to appreciate buildings and architecture more and more as I worked on renovations.
After high school I attended O'More College of Design in Franklin, TN. There I learned more about structures and design premises I had never even considered previously. My time there exposed me to professional building sites in the Westhaven community, networking events with ASID, opportunities in small community projects like the Hardbargain Association, and even designing a building with my fellow studio mates for the college itself. I am truly grateful to all of my professors and I believe that my future work will be as inspiring as they were to me.
My desire is to explore the world and continue to learn and experience all cultures of design. My passions include reading, poetry, writing, music, design, adventure, and travel.
